Hello! Tonight I was feeling crafty and decided to make super cute magnets outof the vintage Orange Crush bottle caps I bought at the convention this weekend. I love love love the Orange Crush logo withe the little flowers, and sifted through the trays of bottle caps we were selling and picked out all the ones you see here. Here are the steps for making your own bottle cap magnets! (This isn’t rocket science, folks, mainly just an excuse for me to post cute artsy pictures…) 1: Get yourself some super cute bottle caps. If you aren’t lucky enough to work at the Dr Pepper Museum, you’ll have to hit up your local flea market or antique store.

2: Buy some magnets and some super glue. Most of the caps I have were much deeper than the normal bottle crown (although two of those are featured) and it ended up the three of the magnets stacked up were the perfect height.

3: Glue all the all the magnets together then glue the stack to the inside of the cap. I just used one drop in between each magnet because they obviously naturally stick together, but I didn’t want them coming apart when I took them off things. I covered the entire surface of the magnet with a thin layer of glue before I glued it to the inside of the cap.

4: Let them dry and start stickin’ them on stuff!

Super easy and fun. I won’t be able to keep them on the fridge because it has to constantly be clear in case people come to look at the house, but I think I’ll take them to work in the mean time. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how I spent my Wednesday night other than updating all my Apple stuff with iOS 4.3 and catching up on The Office. Happy nerdiness!

Well, the excitement I felt at the thought of the 30 for 30 challenge being over with hasn’t really hit me yet. I haven’t even been able to wear my other clothes in any kind of imaginative way yet because of having to work a convention:( Sad day. But I did treat myself to a trip to Laverty’s, which I haven’t done in forever!! So much fun. Here are the fancies I picked up today…

So much fun! You all will be so proud of me, I resisted buying a giant green glass Owens-Illinois jug for only $15. I def don’t need it, but lordy it was pretty!

Oh lordy I’m sooooooo sorry I didn’t post this yesterday! I was lying down in bed about to write this post and I fell asleep and didn’t wake up til this morning. Anywho, I tried to do it up a little fancy yesterday for the final day and was pretty happy with the result. I had so much fun doing this the past month, and I have loved having a direct line to some pretty cool ladies everyday! I’ll miss all your stories so much. We must do it again another season!

Another weird day, y’all. I am going to be totally honest and confess that I did not wear this today. I wanted to REALLY bad but it was too cold for no tights and too warm for tints and boots, and I literally cannot wear these loafers anymore. I chose them because they are a staple of my wardrobe, which is why I am in such a funk now that they are out of commission. However, it is a combo I have been wanting to try this whole time and it has never been white warm enough, except on the weekends when I don’t feel fancy enough to wear skirts. Oh well.

This is essentially what I wore today. It is almost an exact match so i didn’t bother taking a new pic.

But the challenge is almost over! I’m pretty excited to be able to wear my other clothes and start breaking in the pair of black Land’s End ballet flats in my closet that will replace the loafers. AND! It is Justin Bieber’s birthday everyone! Happy Bieber Day to you all! You must celebrate by singing “Baby” at the top of your lungs at least once today:)

Le sigh. Today was another day of sitting around. I celebrated Nate’s sister’s birthday with his family today and I finished a big knitting project I have been working on. Now I’m getting ready to head back to Waco before watching the Oscars! Exciting stuff.

Oh lordy, nothing is going on with me today. Just knitting and internetting and going to Hobby Lobby. I’m sorry my outfit is an almost match of what I’ve worn on the weekend before, but it is yet again a crazy new temp outside today, so there weren’t that many options. Happy Saturday to everyone!!

Sad news, today may have been the final day in the life of my Gianni Bini loafers:( I’m going to be totally honest, in addition to falling apart they STINK. Sorry if that’s TMI, and they are nice leather shoes, but man! Not a good day in the life of my feet. I went with comfy today for our exhibit install, and I was just dirty by the end of the day (even dirtier then stinky feet:). Gianni Bini loafers, GAP adjustable cargo pants (rolled up), AE scoop neck shirt as an undershirt, Land’s End plaid tunic, and my gray scarf. Today was the opposite of yesterday; I had to go back inside and put another shirt on because it was so freaking cold! Ugh, weather, figure it out!

I’m watching Coco Before Chanel right now…can I be French, please? So stylish. Today didn’t turn out quite as I had planned because it was so hot! I got all the way outside in my tights and leather boots and turned around and came back inside. I ended up wearing the Gianni Bini loafers, J. Crew Minnie pants, J. Crew striped tunic, and a maroon scarf. I felt very Audrey Hepburn and comfy all day, which was perfect for a board meeting and walking back and forth between two buildings a bunch. My camera is still acting funky, which I’m a little worried about, but I was able to get a decent shot this morning.

Well, today was mildly more interesting than the last few days. I was happy when added the scarf this morning because it created a fun color combo I hadn’t even planned. My camera was acting funky at my house this morning, so I finished up my pictures at work. Yeah, it was still acting funky there, too. In exciting news, I already have my outfit for tomorrow planned! We have a board meeting so I have to be a little fancier than normal. See ya then!

Ugh, today was a weird one, gang. I know I promised to be more original today, but I has one of tho days where you try everything on and nothing seems to fit right or go together. So, in the end I was in danger of being late to a staff meeting so I ended wearing the dress version of my outfit yesterday. I actually started the day off in this:

But switched to this by the end of the staff meeting.

I just wast feeling the long sweater with the dress today. I’m hoping tomorrow is more promising. Wearing Gianni Bini loafers, Old Navy chambray dress, Gilligan & O’Malley waffle drape sweater (earlier) and Merona black cardigan. Both scarves of the day were from Target.

I’m glad we are nearing the end of the month, mainly because these Gianni Bini loafers are LITERALLY falling apart. They were well-loved when the challenge started, but after so much constant wear they are on their last leg:( I love wearing shoes out because it means I love them so much, but it sucks to have to try and replace them. Also, I want to share one of the other blogs I read with you guys. Her name is Jen and she writes the blog jenloveskev.com. I am always blown away by the things she puts together and how effortlessly stylish she always is as a busy mother to little Rowan. Today she posted her first video blog about how she puts an outfit together, and I really enjoyed it. I hope you do too!
